(I hope u won't mind me speaking english here..U can reply in russian if u want, as I can understand most of it - simillar to my language)

Ok. I was wondering..why do russian jets always fire A-G weapons in pairs/salvo mode? Why not make it release one bomb/rocket at a time?

I find it really strange..for example if I fly MIG-29 (my favorite ;)) and carry ASM rockets (4 of those) I can destroy no more then 2 targets with it (an not 4) as they always fire in pairs. It is a waste of munition IMHO.

Another question, can S-13 rockets be effective against tanks and other armoured vehicles?

Thx,

Breadfan

Actualy, from russian planes bombs allways releasing in pairs or more.
First - this is for symmetrical mass changing
Second - one bomb may not explode, but one of two bombs will explode anyway. This is an another side of less of cost of the bombs.

In reality you can set:
how much of bumbs wil be dropped at one time (СЕРИЯ) and how much of time will be between drops (in fact - the lenght of destruction zone) (ИНТЕРВАЛ)

PS
Yes, the S-13 are wery effective even aganist MBT, but only if it will be hited right in armour.
They are not wery effective, if you'll hit near target (not right in it).

PPS
I'm so sorry for my english... :)

Hmm..well u said that there IS a possibility for russian jets to fire 1 bomb at a time, but unfortunately LOMAC doesn't have this option. I was pretty impressed with A-G arsenal MIG-29 can carry. I always thought S-13 rockets and dumb bombs is all it can onboard but when I saw u have submmunition dispensers (simillar to those of Panavia Tornado) and nice variety of cluster bombs, it really made my day. :D

I don't wanna open another topic, so I'll just go on asking here:

I noticed when in CCIP mode, u can actually mark a spot on ground to be targeted and as long u hold your FIRE button it'll trmain marked untill your next attack run. It looks to me very simillar to laser targeting but as we all now MIG-29A & S version don't have this abbility, so seeing it in LOMAC makes me wonder, is this just an extra feature added just to make bombing more interesting or it's possible for real-life Fulcrum pilots to mark the spot on ground and keep it on the HUD even after flying opposite direction from target?

It is looks simillar to 'targeting cue fire mode' (translation may be not clear). In russian it is spelled as 'predvaritelnaya zasechka tzeli'. I don't how close this mode to it's real-life analog. In real live in this mode FCC also calculates wind and target speeds. In another words - this is more assurate fire mode.

P.S.
Same as Han about my english. :)

No, I've never hear about this ability on russian planes and do not have see it in any documentation.
"Predvaritelnaya zasechka" - it is absolutly another thing with another functions - it's function is to provide ability to hit in mooving target.

You don't need to have an onboard laser designator for this. In theory, FCC can simply retrieve the coordinates of the spot under the pipper from inertial navigation system and then display it's location on HUD werever you fly. Of course, the longer you fly after marking a spot, the less precise this indication will be, as INS accumulates error with time.

Zdravo, bok, Breadfan! ;) Drago mi je sto sam vas upoznao.. =) Kako ste?

Correct me, Han, if I am wrong, but I think Han didn't say that there IS such possibility..

What he actually said was that
...from russian planes bombs allways releasing in pairs or more.

P.S. Donesite mne kriglu piva, molimo vas! :D Hvala =)

Ups...
Sorry...
Bombs can be released by one...
But rockets - only by pairs. Exept S-25.
This is checked information.

Hey, Han, tell me please, how in Lock On bombs can be released by one from russian aircraft? Or you were talking about real aircraft? or I need to get some sleep?...

ЗЫ: KACATKA, ты хорватский знаешь, что ли? Или это был набор дежурных фраз? Вроде незабвенного "Если хочешь жить, проведи нас к ракетной установке...."
