Shockwave объявила о начале разработке симулятора про американскую группу добровольцев на П-40. Предполагают выпустить в 2007 году.
Shockwave announces their next air combat game, “The Flying Tigers”
"This is a new kind of air combat simulation, based around the famous P40 “Tomahawk.” You are a member of the American Volunteer Group (AVG) hired by the Chinese to defend against the Japanese empire. There are all types of combat situations from scrambles, interceptions, defending convoys on the Burma road, and even attacks on Japanese airfields. Many people don't know that during this conflict there were actually times when American P40's actually flew alongside British Hurricanes, which makes for some interesting air combat scenarios. The more we study this conflict, the more excited we are about this product," said Scott Gentile of Shockwave Productions Inc.
Other Japanese aircraft to be included will be the:
Nakajima Ki-27 "Nate" fixed-gear fighter
Nakajima Ki-43 "Hayabusa" retractable gear fighter
Kawasaki Ki-48 "Lily" twin-engined level bomber
Mitsubishi Ki-21 "Sally" twin-engined level bomber
Kawasaki Ki-45 "Toryu" twin-engined fighter
"The Flying Tigers" is being created for the latest hardware, including native support for dual core processors. "The Flying Tigers" is slated for a 2007 release.
