Wow, what a session.

I logged on to Jon and Lars, and we started with takeoff training.

A little later Jon had to leave, but left the server running, so Lars and I did a new takeoff...

We flew from Mildenhall AB, UK east to the Sea, then flew along the Coast, finally doing a low overflight of Midlenhall and a Duo Landing. Lars did a stable lead, and I was able to keep up close with him during the whole flight, just turns are a little hard to do. We had crashes switched off, so that the insane collision box size would not kill us.

That's how it looked at final approach:

And finally parked at the ramp.

It is pretty difficult, but doable, you need a lot of trim, and a frequent use of the speed brakes. Nonetheless I can say I start to "feel" the Mig a lot better now. It was a very sucessfull formation flight, given that we both never flew with each other before.

Next step will be to find standards for Stick Movement (you need to know how much G to pull at takeoff, turns, loops...) and to get Roger Wilco running. Right now all we had was text chat.

Techically we have gear showing up, flaps, and individual skins...pretty good start.

Hi:

I'm :) with envy... I tried but am having problems connecting to the server with FS. I did however connect with RW and was talking to Jon. Seeing those screenshots I see I must look into getting a GeForce, even if it's just for the reflections :)

Hi, Here's some more shots.
The connection will be on until 0300Z. (11 PM EST)
I'll set it up tomorrow at 1500Z (10 AM EST).
It'll be hit or miss, depending on whom, if anyone, is there.
Jon
