Hi all,

"I'm sick at the moment and just for one hour in office.
Please read bellow (you may post it as the news from me that you got
directly).
We are working currently over:
- FM tunes
- Engines tunes.
- Dive and climb tunes
- More precise altitude performace tunes (up to 10,000 meters only, above
the 3D engine doesn't support physiscs, same as in Il-2)
- Gunnery tunes, espcially cannon's shells kinetic energy will be reworked
becasue there is real bug in calculation of calibers smaller then 37-45 mm.
- Prop pitch system (current system was a compromise due to too complex
modeling of engines and processes in engines in Fb. For the time it was
developed before release wasn't possible to make it more realistic, but we
didn't like the idea to make it similar to IL-2 or simple table modeling
like in other sims. Current _manual_ control of pitch doesn't allow to
make "decreasing pich", it is allow only to increase pich and the names of
controlls in Control sections for "increase - " and "decrease prop pich" is
inverted due to translation mistake. )
- Sound (more simple 3D surround sound engine for these who has a problem.
Separate small patch. For these that have not problem we recommned just to
test it, if they like it more than default with the released version)
In the background of this work we make new planes. Most of them German side
currently.
So its all we expect in the end of April.
The guys work hard that to tune it all precise.
Be sure that it is very hard work with such amount of planes and non-table
modeling of physisc's processes.
We also work over the new dedicated server system and when it is done - will
distribute servers for free.
I'm personally very sick last couple of months and in additional got strong
flu.
So I'm unable to read all the forums and read only what accumulate for me
several my guys and old friends.
I hope that I will feell much better soon. Especially when I will be able to
take vacation (after the patches+add-on)
With all the respect,
Oleg Maddox
PS. About current model of prop pich more info (as you know we re-work it):
we can only increase the pitch, but can't decrease....relating the best in
automode. And in control section the operation names of buttons inverted.
This means that "Increase Prop pitch" button really makes Decrease and
"Decrease Prop Pich" makes increase....
If you use manual pitch control (its how it is done currently) then position
100 measn normal pitch. And you may physiscally only to increase pitch (RPM
is down in that case). To decrease the pich from position 100 is
impossible.
Simply manual pitch control works only in one side of blade rotation
realting position 100.
Digits 0-100 are not angles of blades. It is only relating digits that to
remember positions that you may found optimal in some cases.
For the patch this system will be reworked and pitch will be possible to
change in both sides relating optimal RPM (relating position 100 or other
position digits that we may use as a basic). That will play great role for
vertical maneuvers and quick accelerations from the slow speed."
