так и не запустил фрифалкон на вин7 х86 (нвидиа 9800гт)
ради интереса проинсталлил рядом Falcon AF, этот завелся с первой попытки

в кои то веки поставил себе винду ради пары игр и сплошные расстройства
после комфорта пользования консолями хочется послать этот глюкозоопарк куда подальше

У меня 9800ГТ и Вин 7 х 64, мне помогло вот это:

install FF5.5, then update to 5.5.5 on a directory other thenn C:\program files(x86)\, maybe D:\Freefalcon?
then
firstly Install the latest beta driver from www.nvidia.com
secondly put nvidia inspector somewhere on your harddrive from here
make a shortcut to it on your desktop with this as the target: I:\nvidiaInspector.exe -showSettingsOnly -enableSettingScan where I:\ should be the folder where you put inspector
then start inspector from the shortcut and look for this profile: "Falcon 4.0 Allied Force"
click on the button saying: "add application to current profile", there select FFviper.exe from your freefalcon install directory.
in the settings copy the ones I use, these give very good image quality:

only the black settings need to be changed.

then:
righ click the Freefalcon shortcut on your desktop en use these settings:
shortcut->Target: F:\FreeFalcon5\FFViper.exe -hires -g2 (change disk and folder according to your installation)
compatibility: everything UNchecked, except "run this program as an administrator

now everything should work alright..

oh and ingame all graphics detail sliders to max, except terrain, this should not be higher than 10,
set resolution to the same as your monitors max resolution
