Валер, по поводу ишаков в Круму 42 года я ему написала письмо еще до запуска этой кампании. Вот его содержание:

As it shows last I-16type 18 was made in 1939 y. - 117 planes only.
Later facrories did make only later series of I-16.
According that book since last half 1939 was made following type of I-16:

Since December 1940 year production of I-16 type 29 was ended and
factory N21 in Nijniy Novgorog open up production of LaGG-3.

I think according that information I-16 type 18 should be deleted from
Crimea 1942 Campaign at all. I think that I-16 type 24 can replace
other later series if that plane. Also for other later Campaigns.

В итоге количество И-16 18 было уменьшено с 52 до 45. Куда было добавлено я не помню, по-моему И-16 тип 24.
В ответ были слова благодарности за информацию. Он сказал, что ориентировались они на замечательную, по их словам, книгу "BC/RS". Вот так вот
