May, 1941 – M-82 tests completed, engine goes to production.
March, 1942 - LaGG-3 M-82 - First flight.
April-May, 1942 - Production of M-82A begins on Perm engine factory.
March-May, 1942 - tests in NII VVS and LII. LaGG-5 production begins.
December, 1942 - First M-82F engines fitted into production La-5 (not La-5F).
December, 1942 - La-5F (M-82F engine) production begin.
September-October, 1942 - Tests of Tu-2 with M-82NV engines.
December, 1942 – Tests of La-5 with M-82NV engine completed.
December, 1942 – M-82NV (direct fuel injection) dev. sample engine tests completed.
December, 1942 – M-82F engine goes to production. “Take-off” regime becomes “nominal”.
Early 1943 - Last M-82F powered La-5F delivered.
March-April, 1943 – First series of La-5FN (with М-82FNV engine).
May-June, 1943 – Name of the engine officialy changed to M-82FN.
April, 1944 - Name of the engine changed to ASh-82FN, in honor of its General Designer.
June, 1944 - One of the first La-7 with ASh-82FNV engine modified as La-7TK (with turbocharger installed).
September-November, 1944- Rechlyn tests by Hans-Werner Lerhe of La-5FN with M-82FNV engine captured at Gross-Schimanen airfield. Test report is dated March 20, 1945.
