It's really sad when we see that the "console-like" mentality has reached
such a point that people actually mix "open-ended" with "so watered down
that nothing is different than anything else".
Being able to finish the game at lvl 1 is not "open-ended", it's "retarded".
Finding random regular fauna and rat-poor bandits stronger than demons
threatening the world is not "open-ended", it's "absurd".
Vainquishing the Champion of the Empire at lvl 1 and seeing subsequently
that each every guy outside the city is stronger than him is not
"open-ended", it's "ridiculous".
That each and every dungeon is always the same whatever the location is not
"open ended", it's "lazy design".
Gosh, it really sadden me to see "open-ended" being so twisted... Ability to
DECIDE TO DO whatever you want doesn't mean that everything must be EQUALLY
DOABLE. Where's the very principle of "achievement" when everything is just
as easy/hard as everything else ? It makes no sense, and it, in fact, KILLS
the VERY PRINCIPLE of open-endedness...
