Re: [EECvH/РН] новая версия распаковщика текстур
А вот и запоздавший `ридми`.
Ну что-ж, не за горами время когда мы получим кабину без `англоязычных` индикаторов и лампочек, ну а также стильный `черный` Ка-52
TexImpEx v02a
-------------
A texture extract/import utility for 'Enemy Engaged Comanche vs Hokum'
by Razorworks/Empire.
This program is not endorsed by Razorworks or Empire in any way, DO
NOT ask them for technical support if you run into problems with the
game after using this utility. All original images in textures.pal and
textures.bin are copyright Razorworks/Empire.
Installation/Uninstall
----------------------
Unzip teximpexXX.exe to any folder on your hard disk.
To uninstall simply delete the program file as well as teximpex1.ini,
which will have been created in the same folder if you run the program
at least once. No entries to the registry have been made.
Make a backup of \Razorworks\cohokum\3ddata\textures.bin and .pal,
alternatively you can always restore these files by copying them from
the respective folder of your game CD.
Using the program
-----------------
Upon startup, the program will automatically load a texture file into
memory, this might take a while depending on the file size (can be 25MB
and higher), available RAM and speed of your machine. Although it has
been tested successfully on a machine with 32MB, 128MB and up are highly
recommended.
Once the loading is completed, the left window will display a list of
all textures that are used by the game, each wich its resolution and,
if applicable, the palette index. (*see Limitations)
Selecting a name will show the corresponding image in the left preview
window. Doubleclicking a name will extract the texture as a BMP file to
the folder displayed in the right window. Alternatively you can select
one or more names and click on the 'Extract selected' button above the
left window.
The right window has almost complete Windows Explorer functionality, so
by doubleclicking a BMP file there will open it in your default editor.
For easy navigation on your harddrive you can call up a directory tree
view by moving the middle slider or by clicking the small button on the
same slider. By default you will be in \Razorworks\cohokum\3ddata but
you can extract to and install from any folder.
Selecting a BMP file in the right window will display it in the right
preview window, if the file name matches the name of a game texture the
left window will automatically scroll to and display that texture in
the left preview.
To import BMP files into the textures set, select one or more and click
the 'Import selected' button above the right window. The files will be
verified by their name, size and color depth, there will be a warnig if
they don't appear to be appropriate for the selected textures file.
The game uses two sets of textures. Textures.pal contains 256 colors
(8bit) images being used on the 3dfx Voodoo family of graphics cards,
textures.bin has the same images but in 16.7 million colors (24bit) and
is being used on cards such as the Nvidia line or ATI and about every
other card that isn't from 3dfx.
BMP files extracted from either these files will have a 'PAL' or 'BIN'
in their name and can only be imported into their respective textures
file.
Make sure you are selecting the proper textures file by clicking on the
top right for your before importing any BMP files, else you won't see
any changes in the game.
And additional 'D' in the name indicates that this file is being used
in the "Desert" theaters such as Lebanon or Yemen, whereas the rest of
the textures is used in the "green" theaters like Taiwan, or in both.
Once you have successfully imported new BMP files into the textures set
you can either click the 'Save' button to write the updated textures
file back to disk or click the 'Start Game' button, which will save the
file and then start the game. The program will stay minimized as long
as the game is running.
If you exit the program or if you select a different textures file or
if you click the 'Refresh list' button before saving the textures file
in either of the aforementioned ways, all changes will be discarded.
Advanced using
--------------
With the file filter above the right window you can specifiy which files
are to be listed, by default this is set to *.bmp so that only BMP files
and folders will be displayed. This option is useful if there are plenty
of files in the folder, with for instance 66*bin*.bmp you could list only
Comanche related files in the BIN format. Clearing the filter or setting
it to *.* or * will display any file.
When in the left window, hitting a key will make the list jump to the
first entry that starts with that letter or number, holding the key will
cycle through all respective names. Pressing an additional key will jump
to the first entry that bekins with that letter combination. All this
works only forward tho, i.e. scolling down the list.
