With its order of F-16 combat aircraft, Poland will be the 24th nation to fly the Fighting Falcon. The Polish Air Force chose the multi-role F-16 in December 2002 after a fighter competition and ordered 48 of the Block 52 F-16C/Ds to replace older MiG aircraft.
