On 9 August 1942, Ostermann, flying Bf 109 G-2 (W.Nr. 10 438) “Black 1”, shot down a Russian Curtiss P-40 fighter for his 102nd, and last, victory, but shortly after was shot down and killed in a dogfight with Soviet fighter pilots in the vicinity of Amossovo.

Карл "Квакс" Шноррер, 46 побед знаменитый ведомый знаменитого Новотны (JG 54) - Nowotny attacked a Russian Il-2 Sturmovik ground-attack aircraft and shot it down for his 255th victory. A second Il-2 attacked Nowotny’s Fw 190 but Schnörrer managed to bring down this Il-2 for his 35th, and last, victory with JG 54. Schnörrer’s Fw 190 A-5 (W.Nr. 410 021) then received hits from another Il-2. He baled out of his blazing Fw 190 at an altitude of no more than 50 to 70 meters. The parachute deployed only a few meters above the ground. German soldiers rescued the badly injured pilot, who had suffered broken legs and a skull fracture.
Антон Дёбеле, 94 победы, летал в "Новотны шварме" (JG 54) - In aerial combat east of Vitebsk on 11 November 1943, Döbele was killed in Fw 190 A-4 (W.Nr. 7082) “White 11”, when he rammed a Russian Il-2 Sturmovik ground attack aircraft.
Ханс Гётц, 82 победы (JG 54) - On 4 August 1943, Götz crashed inverted into a forest northwest of Karatschew in Fw 190A-6 (W.Nr. 1119) “Black 2”, following an attack on Russian Il-2 Sturmovik ground attack aircraft and was killed.
И это только по "Зелёным Сердцам"... А по другим - больше...
Так что "Илы" давали сдачи, иногда - очень сильно
