JG27_Campaign_Part1
Fly a Bf-109 as a member of JG27 through conflicts across France, The English Channel, The Balkans, Center of the Eastern front and North Africa.
Browning50cal's JG27 Campaign (Part 1 1940-42)
This is an approximately 40 mission Campaign about you as a
young aviator in the Luftwaffe as you try to survive WWII in JG27.
A couple of notes:
1. This is a semi-historic campaign. While some of the names of places in briefing maps will not be correct, or at proper distances to each other, I ask that the player use a bit of imagination to immerse themselves in the story rather than dismiss it as "inaccurate".
2. Skins; There are incorporated into this campaign 3rd party skins sourced by various freeware downloads. Mostly from Mission4Today.com, flying-legends.net and Canon's skins.
I am extremely grateful for the time that community skinners have spent putting together such quality works. I hope that those of you that made these skins, find that this campaign does justice to your valiant efforts. Skinners and skins are as follows:

3. Compatability: This campaign was manufactured under FB+AEP+PF v4.04m. There are aircraft in some missions that require FB/AEP.
4. Installation: Until I can purchase a Winzip self extractor program, this campaign must be installed manually.
Copy the contents of the "JG27p1" folder into:
Ubi Soft/Il-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles/Missions/Campaign/DE
Open the "Skins" folder and copy the contents of each individual aircraft type
into it's corresponding game folder under:
Ubi Soft/Il-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles/PaintSchemes/Skins/[Aircraft Type]
I have included an historcal awards pack of German medals that you may use if you so desire. Just be sure to back up the original awards before you install.
5. At this point you should be able to start the campaign by going to "pilot career" on the games main menu. Select "New", then look under "Germany", and open the pulldown to expose the "JG27p1" option.
6. I would like to thank bird_brain for his awesome tutorial on the PF forum pages. Without most of our campaigns would not be possible. I would also like to thank Extreme_One for his 2.5 year old post on how to include tracks into campaigns. Now that I know how to include tracks, I don't see how I could ever make a campaign again without them.
7. Difficulty:
I recommend that you chose the most realistic settings that you are able to. If you fly with Icons, try this campaign without them. Tf you use a speed bar on the lower corner of the screen, turn it off. If you use map icons, turn them off. Also, turn off the "no instant success" option, cause whether you fail or not,
I don't think you should have to refly a mission to continue on with the campaign. Because the maps are so small(and in most cases, not the actual place) try your hand at some navigation. Even though the number of compromises I had to make to even
call this campaign "semi-historical" are many,I don't believe that anything captures the "historical" aspect more than does having to identify a target before you shoot it, or having to plot a course back home using landmarks.
8. To save on download size, most of the skins that are included are "blank" or "no codes" skins, with normaly only one or two skins per aircraft type. To make the game's default aircraft markings appear acceptable to me, when I am flying, I use a utility called IL2-MAT mananger. This is a free utility that
replaces all of the games markings for all of the different aircraft in the game, with markings that have been weathered, or reduced in size to appear more like they would on an aircraft of the period. I have experienced no problems with either the install or playability with this utility installed, and I recommend that everybody pick it up. It is available at: http://www.leigh-kemp.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/MATfiles.htm
Above all, thank you for taking the time to download and play this Campaign.

Iraq 1941
This campaign is based on the true events surrounding the battle of Habbaniya, Iraq May 1941. You will fly the Hurricane MkIIb in 9 challenging missions.
Requires version 4.08
Campaign includes 3rd Party Skins + 'Middle Eastern' Briefing Sounds
Overview
On the 3rd April 1941, pro-Axis politician Rashid Ali El-Gailani, backed by four generals known as the ‘Golden Square’, seized power in Baghdad from the pro-British Regent Abdullah Illah.
Fleeing Baghdad, the Regent sought sanctuary at the Royal Air Force training station at Habbaniya, 50 miles west of the city. From there he was transferred to Basra where he took refuge in a British warship before being flown out to Transjordan.
RAF Habbaniya contained at that time only training units, including No.4 Flying School with a large complement of elderly Hawker Audax, Airspeed Oxford twin-engine trainers and Vickers Valentias and three Gloster Gladiators.
On the 30th of April following further deterioration of relations between Britain and Rashid Ali’s government, Iraqi forces numbering some 9,000 men and 28 artillery units lie siege to the base.
On the 2nd of May, on orders from Air Vice Marshal H.G. Smart, Wellington bombers from 70 Squadron based at RAF Shaibah commenced bombing of Iraqi positions. Soon afterwards the Audaxes, Oxfords, Valentias and Gladiators of No.4 Flying Schools (now renamed the Habbaniya Air Striking Force) also attacked, their training aircraft having been modified to carry light bombs and Lewis guns.
The Battle of Habbaniya had begun!
About the Campaign
This is a relatively short campaign with just nine, narrative driven missions to complete. The campaign centres around the Hurricanes of 94 Squadron sent to Habbaniya from Egypt.
This campaign is based on historical events rather than claiming to be a historically accurate account of those events. The main reason for this is that the aircraft that are the main protagonists in the history, such as Valentias and Oxfords, are not present in IL2.

It is August 1942, and the American 8th Airforce is ready to take the fight to the Germans. Despite British advice the Americans have decided to use daylight precision bombing to bring the Nazi war industry to its knees, thinking that close formations of its heavy bombers, with the help of fighter escort will be able to defend themselves against any Luftwaffe attack.
You are one of the new fighter pilots, soon to join the 56th Fighter Group -Under the inspirational leadership of its CO Hubert Zemke. The 56th help devise many of the fighter tactics used by 8th Fighter Command, and by the end of the war the famous‘ Zemkes Wolfpack’ as it was dubbed had shot down more enemy aircraft than any other FG in the ‘Mighty Eighth’ and was the only unit in the 8th to use the P47 for the duration of the war.

BALTIC SPARROWS 1946 is a 35-mission campaign for the He-162. In it, you will fly all three available types of the Sparrow into battle against the Soviets in a fictional, late 1946 scenario.
The campaign is designed to run smoothly on a mid-range comp

In June 1940, Sergeant Rene Mouchotte leaved North Africa, stoling a plane and flew to Gilbraltar. He enlisted the Free French Air Force and fought in the Great Britain from 1940 to 1943.
We join him at Old Sarum for the first training flights.
An Historical campaign based on the "Mouchotte Diarry 1940-1943".

This campaign is Wagnerian in its scope and vision. I therefore recommend dropping your graphics settings if your PC is less than 1Gb RAM and your graphics card is less than 128Mb.
