Hello all, (apologies for English)

Two days ago where I work (International Airport, Brisbane, Australia) yet another An124 zoomed past my hangar to a destination over the horizon...

Now it occurred to me, how do you speak of these machines?

For example, in English we say "ay-en-one-two-four".

In Russian would you say "AH-Один два четыре"

or, "AH-Сто двадцать четыре"??

Would you be saying "AH" sounding like the "Анна"?

Thanks in advance :)

OK, here we go "Антонов сто двадцать четыре" or
Ан сто двадцать четыре", but when I worked in Antonov design bureau  we  called it "изделие четыреста" or "четырехсотка" ;)

P.S. BTW my father was a member of the first test crew who brought her up:)

Спасибо!

This is just what I needed and a little more from borkin  :p Very interesting to hear of your and your fathers work RB!

Now to practice!

An124's come quite often to Australia and we have two An12's based here almost permanently.
