In Russian, what do you call your machines?

    Hello all, (apologies for English)

Two days ago where I work (International Airport, Brisbane, Australia) yet another An124 zoomed past my hangar to a destination over the horizon...

Now it occurred to me, how do you speak of these machines?

For example, in English we say "ay-en-one-two-four".

In Russian would you say "AH-Один два четыре"

    or, "AH-Сто двадцать четыре"??

Would you be saying "AH" sounding like the "Анна"?

    Thanks in advance

    Cheer's, Ham

OK, here we go "Антонов сто двадцать четыре" or
Ан сто двадцать четыре", but when I worked in Antonov design bureau  we  called it "изделие четыреста" or "четырехсотка"

P.S. BTW my father was a member of the first test crew who brought her up

    Спасибо!

This is just what I needed and a little more from borkin  :p Very interesting to hear of your and your fathers work RB!

    Now to practice!

An124's come quite often to Australia and we have two An12's based here almost permanently.
