Although the capture of Voronezh has been announced by General Paulus, according to the pilots of Sturzkampfgeschwader 2 "Immelmann" there is still considerable resistance in the city. Even the rail line to Moscow is still under Soviet control. Field Marshal von Bock left the 24th Panzer Division to deal with the situation and the remainder of Sixth Army circumvented the obstacle. Ivan is fighting for every block; house to house, cellar to cellar. The fighting is at such close proximity it leaves our ground troops disoriented. Nothing in their training has prepared them for this "style" of warfare.
Hitler, on the other hand, ordered General Hoth's Fourth Panerarmee to move south along the Don River executing a short encircling movement in conjunction with First Panzerarmee. Unfortunatly, Field Marshal von Bock had already sent Hoth's force to the south. The end result of this miscommunication was that only (14,000) prisoners were taken.
Jagdgeschwader 3, meanwhile, continues to cover the spearhead of the Sixth Army. At present the 16th Aufklar Battalion of General Angern's 16th Panzer Division is conducting a reconnaissance of enemy positions directly south of our new airfield. They have identified the 338th Artillery Regiment of the Soviet 21st Army and have given us the necessary coordinates to eliminate the threat. 1./JG 3 will escort a flight of Hs-129B-2 ground-attack aircraft from Hauptmann Neubert's II./Schlachtgeschwader 1. The first pair of Hs-129B-2 aircraft will carry (1x250kg) SC bombs while the second rotte utilizes their (1xMk 101) Gunpods to eliminate a Soviet reconnaissance platoon from the 478th Tank Brigade. The 1./JG 3 schwarm will consist of "Maus", Leutnant Humer, Oberfeldwebel Poske, and Feldwebel Gendlemeyer. You will carry (1x250kg) SC bombs as your primary ordnance for eliminating 76mm anti-tank gun positions.
Should the Red Air Force fail to make an appearance, you will expend your remaining ammunition on additional Soviet ground targets. Flak has been light as well as Red Air Force patrols but the Hurricanes of the 4 IAP were sighted north of Verkhniya Buzinovka about (30) minutes ago. Fuel will be at 50% capacity.

Более того, железная дорога, ведущая в Москву, по-прежнему в руках русских. Фельдмаршал фон Бок оставил 24-ю танковую дивизию разобраться с ситуацией, а остальные части 6-й армии обошли препятствия. Иван дерётся за каждый дом, каждый квартал, каждый подвал. Такие ближние бои дезориентируют наши сухопутные войска. К такой войне они оказались совершенно не готовы.
С другой стороны, Гитлер приказал 4-й танковой армии Гота двигаться на юг вдоль Дона, чтобы, взаимодействуя с 1-й танковой армией, окружить русских. К сожалению, фельдмаршал фон Бок уже направил силы Гота на юг. В результате этого взаимного непонимания мы смогли окружить и взять в плен всего 14000 русских.
Тем временем JG 3 продолжает прикрывать остриё наступления 6-й армии. В данный момент 16-й разведбатальон 16-й танковой дивизии генерала Ангерна ведёт разведку вражеских позиций, находящихся к югу от нашего аэродрома. Они обнаружили позиции 338-го артиллерийского полка советской 21-й армии и дали нам их координаты, чтобы мы устранили угрозу. 1./JG 3 будет сопровождать штурмовики Hs-129 из II./SG 1 гауптмана Нойберта. Если красные ВВС не появятся, проштурмуете обнаруженные советские наземные цели. Зенитное противодействие невелико, русских самолётов мало, хотя полчаса назад к северу от Верхней Бузиновки были замечены "Харрикейны" 4-го ИАП. Машины заправлены на 50%.
