Или я ошибаюсь?I bought a Sony CW series 14" laptop with the i5-520m cpu and GT 330m graphics card and with tweaks applied it plays FSX beautifully at 25-30 fps normally, and over 60 fps at high altitude. I also have REX, GEX, and UTX installed as well as the PMDG 747.
There are a number of settings that kill FSX performance. Turn those off and you will notice a great increase in performance. I have my water turned to mid 1.x as it looks more realistic to me and gives me about 10fps. Turn off all aircraft effects as these also decrease performance substantially, but it still looks better than FS2004. Light blooom and DX10 buttons are very performance robbing, so remove them too. Advanced animations are ok though. Set traffic to no more than medium settings.
With these exceptions and the tweaks below applied, you can pretty much max everything else out.
Set FPS to unlimited, and enable AA and AF
Do the FSX.cfg tweaks:
[Bufferpools]
UsePools=0
[JobScheduler]
AffinityMask=255

(This setting makes a big difference as it allows FSX to use the hyper-threading feature of the i3/i5/i7 cpus)
[Graphics]
HighMemFix=1
Worse comes to worse if you still don't like the performance of FSX with these settings you can decrease the sliders to medium and you will still have a better-than-FS2004 sim that you can use. Good luck!

Хоть и голословно но похоже игра будет видеть и работать с HT. Увидеть бы рфициальное подтверждение сего.23-11-10, 11:35
Would you laugh if i told you that this promotion - sku lists and all - was given by Intel for their RUSE combination promotion!? Thanks for the headsup guys, ill look into it!
Think that shows that despite working for probably one of the most important computer companies in the world the marketing department don't have a clue how any of the products they sell work.
You are right, most games don't use hyper-threading, but FSX is the exception to the rule and most people report a drop in FPS when HT is disabled, so it uses all the cores, HT and needs a lot of CPU MHz (the more the better).
Would love to know the results of Hyperthreading on the 1156 boards they were custom built to handle it like the 1366 boards I know a lot of the work is done on processor now so it doesn't matter so much but would be interesting to see. Another thing that confuses me is that motherboards are more expensive than ever yet processors are cheaper, yet technology wise the motherboard requires less now (northbridge on processor) and processor requires more, can't quite figure that one out probably a different thread should be made for that but I'm not that bothered :p .
