В FM 17-12 про телескопический прицел M60 написано:
The telescope is mounted coaxially to the main gun and is used as the gunner's secondary direct-fire sight. Telescopes that are articulated (jointed) have an eyepiece that remains in a fixed position for ease of the gunner's sighting. Because the telescope is not linked to the computer, the tank commander must announce the range to the gunner when the telescope is being used. However, the tank commander should determine range as accurately as possible, using the range finder if available.
Этот прицел не должен зависеть от баллистического вычислителя или я неправильно понял? Сейчас при включенном вычислителе нужно наводить не по меткам дальности, а по "нулевой" отметке - boresight cross (как этот термин, кстати, переводится?).
