When the DDR collapsed, we bought a lot of stuff from the Germans, willing to sell a LOT of the stuff for a very minimal price. Most the latest soviet equipment came from this shopping trip (most T-72s, BMP-1s, 2S1s, artillery, trucks, small arms... you name it).

Finns bought the first T-72M1s from the Soviet Union in early 1980s. When the DDR went under, Finns bolstered the numbers to 120+, buying surplus equipment from the Germans. The T-72s made up the backbone of the two Armoured Brigades from 1990s to 2005 when the decision was made to dispand the Brigades and scrap the T-72 flotilla.

Купили подешевке и через несколько лет распилили на металлолом. Видимо оказались слишком хороши для них.
