25 mission static campaign to fly the P-80A in combat.

MiG-Killer is the 2nd part of Jetfighter-campaigns for IL-2 1946 (1st part: looking for MiG-Alley).
The campaign is semi historical and like to give a impression to fly jets in IL-2. Great thanks goes to Aero_Shodanjo for his great P-80 Template. I used it to paint the P-80 Skins. All the others made by me. You can fly the P-80A in several combat missions.
The center of the campaign is to fly the P-80A against the MiG-9FS and MiG-15 (Ta-183). But it is not the only once...

This is a Single player campaign that takes place during the Korean Conflict from 25 JUNE - 25 JULY 1950.

It was designed to be flown from the LEAD position (Rank: Colonel)

It was created using IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 ver 4.08M.
No mods were used in the creation of this campaign.

INSTALL:
Extract Korea.RAR and run the install. The game will install into
the default IL-2 folder: c:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946

The MAP:
Since we don't have a Korea map, I altered one from the game.
In your IL2 Stumovik 1946 folder you will see a folder labeled KOREA MAP.
There are four images. Print them out and tape them together

NOTE: If you copy the mission files to a coop folder it can also be played
as a 4 player coop campaign.

FUEL NOTE:
Most missions will have you with 25% Fuel(except when you transition to the F-80).
This was done on purpose. Besides the enemy, every pilot should always be thinking
about fuel. Keep an eye on that gauge. You may want to stay and fight, but the
"Gas Gods" may intervene. Take advantage of full engine management to make it home.

AIRCRAFT NOTE:
Due to the great work by the skinners the following aircraft are portrayed in the campaign, The LA, Yak, IL-10, F-51, F-80, B-29, Royal Navy Seafury, L-5 Stinson, R4D, T-6 Texan, Tu-70, A-26, US Navy Martin Mars seaplane, Royal Navy Sunderland Seaplane and the Ta-183 makes a great MIG-15 when you put North Korean markings on it. In a fight you'll swear it's a MIG. Check out the screenshot.
At the end of the campaign please take time to read the credits.

Господа вирпилы! Вот какой вопрос дурацкий - есть ли у кого-нибудь темплейты для DGen'a карт Арденны или Нормандия, но на 1940 год? Т.е. имеющиеся на 1944 и 1945 не подходят по технике и самолетам. Хотелось бы видеть там "Эмили", "Хури", "Мораны"! Может есть какие кампании?

This campaign continues on from my previous No.32 Sqn campaigns. We'll see huge Circus operations plus shipping strikes, Rhubarbs and everything in between.

A semi-fictional, NO ICONS campaign for the RAF simulation enthusiast which will take him through the final stage of the Battle of Britain and on into 1941 and the battle for supremacy between the Spitfire and 109. As we don't have the Mk II Spit, the early match up is imressionistic but I've tried to give either side the edge to help put the arms race across. The BoB segment will use the French map to simulate the Kent coast, then you'll move to 'Jersey' for the 1941 segment and France will become France again. I hope this isn't too confusing.

Ground Objects.
I've reduced the amount of ground objects considerably from previous campaigns as they do take a hit on framerates. The airfields and bombing sites etc...are still pleasantly crowded but this campaign plays very smoothly on my machine. There are a lot of aircraft in some missions but if you've got a moderately fast machine you should be ok. I'm playing on: 4X Anisotropic filtering/8Q AA.

Included are new RAF pilot voices by myself, Phil Wyne aka '96th_Nightshifter', 'Vtrelut', Walter Manley aka 'Torquatus' and 'Phoenix1963'.

They do include some rather rich language so best not to play through speakers when children are about.

This campaign has been specifically designed for a NO ICONS environment - it will be rather pointless in places if you use them. When playing this campaign I also remove subtitles and all other modern intrusions. One of the complaints with this game is that the campaigns are stale. I've tried to add some mystery and a sense of the unknown throughout these campaign missions. If you're like me, you enjoy the pure flying aspects of the sim. As a lower rank, you should be following your element mate - No.3 at all times. Cruise speed in the Spitfire will be 150mph throughout. You shouldn't have to burn out your engine catching up your section mates! In designing this campaign I have focused on the journey as much as the destination. Enjoy the look of the thing. There'll be plenty going on.
The RAF emphasized teamwork and team kills are the ones that count. Try to stick with your section at all times. Your job is to keep the enemy off your leader's arse, not to go tearing around as a lone wolf. If you do the latter you'll end up in trouble.

There are 39 skins in this campaign, 35 of them new.

Кстати, а чего бы сразу сюда не выложить? Кладу: расчлененный на 2 части архив RAR. Качать обе, сохранить в одну папку, для разархивирования щелкнуть по первой и указать путь в папку корневого каталога игры.
