Балансировочный груз и сегодня летает на Союз-ТМА,правда несколько уменьшили его массу.Летал на "Венерах",вплоть до В-9,Американцы возили свинец до Луны и обратно (на Аполло тоже была свинцовая плита,причем и в СА и в служебном модуле).Ета весчь совершенно необходима для обеспечения центровки,так что и на Джемини и даже на Шаттлах - везде возят.Если кому интересно может почитать.
