I'm afraid that NTRK recording increases network traffic. I'm not sure about it but couple of indices in code suggest that.
Making track record mandatory for 50+ players on server could be deadly. I think that anyone who wants to record his flight is certainly able to start recording after mission start.
For offline its good idea, although we already have this in TRK format, which has own advantages and disadvantages.
