The BMW 801E/F was devised as a 2000-HP-class engine suited for efficient production using single-purpose machine tools. This resulted in a complete redesign of the BMW 801 which had been manufactured using more flexible, but less productive multi-purpose machine tools.
Less than 60 E/F engines were built and series production of the F (originally as TH, later as improved TF) never started.
The series production engine was the BMW 801S-1 (respectively TS-1) which was a BMW 801 D development with the pistons, rods and cylinders of the E/F series.
The S-1 yielded 2040 HP at 2700 rpm, 1.65 ata, later increased to 2200 HP at 2700 rpm, 1.85 ata. From a Rechlin report quoted in the article, it seems that 2200 HP were possible without MW50 injection. The Rechlin report (for the week from 15. to 21.1.1945) expected 2200 HP to be permitted by 1.2.1945.
The E/F was benchtested (in a defect-free run) with 2400 HP at 2700 rpm, 1.9 ata in July 1944 using MW50, which was increased to 2580 HP by February 1945. (It yielded 1700 HP in 5.8 km, but that's just one data point.)
I assume the 2580 HP output is for the improved TF version which had a number of improvements, including the use of wing root supercharger air intakes."

Таки да, BMW-801F в серию не пошел и 2600hp FW-190A так и не увидал, пришлось заканчивать войну на 2200hp
Ну и ладно, некоторым вон вообще с 43 года больше 1850hp так ничего и не обломилось и ничего, нормально летали
А Як-3 по аэродинамике не Мустанг конечно, но тоже очень не слабо.
