No community is what I refer too. It (multiplayer) helps with the base that attracts mod guys and new ideas. Honestly a pure multiplayer tank sim is not all that attractive even to me. It HAS to have some other pull to bring in more players. Such a title needs to stay true to what graviteam has done in the past (keeps player base). But offer other stuff to attract NEW players (buyers hopefully). Here in the west we have a huge number of stupid brain dead game companys pumping out crap. It DOES attract a large number of young players, but the older mid 20's - 40's crowd is largely untapped. Right now and for the past few years ARMA series has tapped alot of the military sim types. BUT it does a horid job with armor and air simulation. It DOES do an ok job of infantry stuff. As an example ARMA 2 is vary high on the sales even after a couple years since being released. A big part is that zombie crap mod. Ok the zombie part do not care about in example but the MOD part we do. Would such things happen with no multiplayer and the community that can come about with it?

Now APOS with a good multiplayer system.........that could maybe work out vary well. Well better than a tank sim. BUT, they use same game engine so.........................

Oh forgot one thing.

APOS as a tactic game could do well on steam. But graviteam would likly take a lose on funds as a small company. However, it could reach a MUCH larger player base and get branding kickstarted (sorry no pun there). Also arma claims to be the "must realistic military sim ever". Hmmmm well NO, ok a big fat NO. But is much more so than the COD and BF stuff. I can't stand that stuff. Yuck. maybe if I where 16 or something.......

Oh my, forgot one other thing.

Alot of people that think graviteam stuff is the greatest thing since sliced bread have served in various military's around the world....myself included. I know many on this forum as well. Hmmmm that sort of tells you something does it not? That in and of itself is useful if properly applied.

And I really REALLY need to go retake Russian again.
